~ Succumbs ~
This is it! I’ve finally succumbed to blogging after resisting for so many years (actually, that should read “not bothering with it” for many years. After all my life is far too busy for blogging don’t ya think? Well…..maybe….) Anyhow, this now puts me only a few years behind my friends and relatives and a year or so behind my wife’s blog. Better late than never they say! Then again you can be the judge of that!
Just what am I gonna write up here? Don’t quite know myself actually. How often will I update? Well I have every intention to, but you know that busy lifestyle I was talking about earlier…..
I’m not sure at this stage how much I’m going to censor my posts, if at all? I suspect there will be a few things I might hold back on but you never know. Let’s just hope I don’t come here when I’m drunk. Not that I actually drink at all – maybe only a few times a year or so…… That could be a problem in itself, methinks?
One thing I need to do is understand this blog software a little better. It seems feature-rich enough but I know nothing of the blood and guts of blogging so I’ll have to hang tight and see where this will take me (as well as learn along the way). For instance, what the hell is a “Post slug”? I notice that’s one of the boxes below me as I write. Also, what does a “trackback” do exactly? So much to learn, so little time. Thank God for Google!
At the moment the graphics and the layout are a little dodgy – So is the name for that matter! I remember thinking of another name for the blog but when it came to actually setting it up it kinda slipped my mind.
Many things slip my mind nowadays – but I’ll get into that some other time!
So for now it is what it is – confused, meandering, possibly eclectic and largely unknown…..Well, make that TOTALLY unknown actually.
That’s the way I want it for now
