Blog Wars III v 1.02 – Thunderdome Verdict
It’s official! I have lost my Blog Thunderdome battle and I’ve now been banned from posting for a month. It was supposed to be a two month ban but the judges capitulated and reduced it down to one. It was the right decision to ban me based on the observations that the judges made about both blogs. In fact there’s very little in the verdict that I don’t agree with, and it is true that I had a somewhat lackadaisical attitude to the outcome of the bout. After all it is an online bout so it’s nothing to actually get too uptight about! Now it has been argued “Where’s my battle spirit?”, but you don’t really want to say that to a descendant of a psychopathic Highland Clan – lest you end up with your privates cut off and shoved down your throat, your stomach cut open and stuffed with rocks and your body then sunk in the murky waters of some forgotten swamp. Blog Thunderdome? Ne’er erd o dem. Loch Sloy! ;-)
I am, of course, kidding…..but I wanted to illustrate a point that there’s been enough brutal killing in my ancestral past to not have to worry about “the passion for battle” for some millennia to come.
The reviews of both blogs were funny though. Some of it was a little confusing at first but, after a re-read or two, it did seem to vaguely make some sense. :-) Of course some of the points had a flagrant disregard for the truth – but then you don’t read this sort of stuff for truth, you read it to laugh…..and laugh I did. Much of it was spot on though and I applaud the judges for their miraculous insight into the human psyche and thank them for their work on such an otherwise thankless task. I think it would be a rather tough and unenviable job to do, but then someone’s got to do it, and I’m glad they’re there!

Sorry my friend, but this whole “blog in advance” thing leaves me cold. Blog Thunderdome is not without its weapons. Or cunning. Or a well of stupidity with which to screw with your site. You disregard the Holy Order of Thunderdome at your own peril.

dave – If it leaves you cold you’d better rug up then. :-) I would hope that you wouldn’t do anything illegal though? No point in that at all.
And as for the posts themselves, they’ll be what they’ll be. Just like your posts and everybody else’s out there on the World Wide Web. No more, no less. I have added the banned buttons though.
